After the rally is before the exhibition.

Long time no read? - Right!

To be honest: after the rally is before the exhibition. And next week´s appointment in Bad Kissingen is eating up a big portion of our energy these days. But anyway, you really deserve some lines about the "best GRAND ERG ever" (quote):

160 people x 1700 km rally = lots of fun, thrills, excitement, adventures.

It was a thrilling race until the very end, especially as the overall leader had severe technical problems on the last stage and a tough neck-and-neck-race was fought for 3rd position. But nevertheless, the team-spirit of the GE was always wide awake and even in the closest in-fight the competitors helped and towed each other to the very best. It was pure joy to sit and watch, what kind of importance spirit and fairness had for everyone!

Of course the "toughest north-africa-rally" (another quote) took it´s toll: 4 total breakdowns plus another 3 vehicles who only made it home in emergency-mode are quite a harvest, aren´t they? Especially in connection with ZERO medical defects!!!

Once more we proofed, that all of this can easily be managed with the necessary planning and even the procedures for the south-tunisian restricted area, which have meanwhile become quite an obstacle, turned out to be manageable: All involved authorities were more than cooperative and despite plenty of army-escorts we were completely off the leash and felt really safe and even more welcome and wanted!!!

I want to thank all sponsors and supporters, which enable us to organize the GE-2010, after that all participants for the thrilling race and of course the biggest "thank you" goes to the best organization-team ever!!!
